Captain Bags keeps p&p charges as low as possible.

We use Royal Mail 2nd Class, 1st Class and Air Mail only.

The way this web site works at the moment, you have to register your details before the postage charges show up in your shopping cart.

P&P is not a profit centre for us.

Our charges are very low.

We keep them low by deploying such cutting-edge techniques as:

- Packing smaller orders in sturdy 115gsm manilla envelopes rather than prettier (but vastly more expensive) white/blue/grey plastic mailing sacks

- Splitting orders into two or more Large Letter packages where practical, to avoid expensive parcel rates

- Refunding savings to you in cases where we can pack at a lower cost than our system charged you.

The new postal rates that came into force in August 2006 include bulk as a factor, as well as weight. Forecasting the postage costs of combinations of bag sizes and quantities is an art rather than a science.
